About MDA

Whenever you think of the word nutrition, think of the Registered Dietitian and the Mississippi Dietetic Association as your best source of knowledge and information.

Members of the Mississippi Dietetic Association are dedicated professionals who volunteer their time and talents to improve the nutritional status of their clients and the public. They are the most reliable source of Nutrition Education available. MDA members are trained to deliver nutrition information in a variety of settings and practice in every area of our state.

MDA is a state Affiliate Association of the American Dietetic Association, which has 70,000 members nationally and throughout the world. We have members in more than 20 countries overseas. Our membership is comprised of Registered Dietitians, the Registered Dietetic Technicians, and students of nutrition and food service.

This site was designed to share our expertise in the field of nutrition with our members and the public. We hope to help the public find the nutrition information they are seeking whether it is from a Registered Dietitian in person or a reliable Web Site linked through this one.

Our mission is to provide scientifically based information that is sensible and practical.
