In this exciting opportunity, the Registered Dietitian will provide guidance and assist in problem solving related to dietary services management, quality nutritional care of the residents in three skilled facilities in Northern Mississippi. We would consider full-time or part-time applicants.
Responsibilities include assisting facilities in providing quality and cost effective food service and medical nutrition therapy. Knowledge of CQI, RAI process, and state and federal regulations are essential. At least 3 years experience in long term care strongly preferred. The Registered Dietitian will work collaboratively with the Food Service Manager in meeting the nutritional needs of the residents by assisting in assessing nutritional needs and monitoring of preparation, service, delivery, and storage of food.
Must be a team player that works well with other interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include ensuring facility compliance with Federal and State Regulations, and evaluation of the provision of quality, cost-effective food service in compliance with established standards, regulations and procedures.

| Job Posted July 12, 2010 Full-Time Instructor, Mississippi State University The Department of Food Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotions at Mississippi State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, 12 month, non-tenure track Instructor position in nutrition and/or food systems beginning December 1, 2010. Duties and responsibilities of the position include: 1) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. 2) Advise and recruit undergraduate students. 3) Assist with Dietetic programs. 4) Participate in committee work, professional organizations, and university service. Applicants must have earned M.S. from an accredited university in nutrition, food service systems, or a closely-related area and be a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible. Applicants must have demonstrated people skills, experience in nutrition, food service systems, and in education, and must be competent in using various methods of technology transfer. Previous teaching and career experience is expected. A PhD in nutrition, food systems or closely related area is preferred.
