The Menu Systems Dietitian is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining menus to meet client expectations, contractual requirements, and financial guidelines. The Menu Systems Dietitian is also responsible for assisting with the implementation and training of Computrition.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics required. One (1) year related experience with nutritional program planning, menu development, and diet instruction preferred. Experience and working knowledge in Computrition preferred. Must have computer experience using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), including the use of internet and electronic mail systems.
License: Must be a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. If Registry Eligible, registration must be obtained within six (6) months of employment. Must also be licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi and/or state location in which Valley conducts Health Services business.
•Must possess organizational and time management skills to meet critical deadlines on a consistent basis •Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees and clients (internal and external)
•Must have the ability to make judgments concerning the interpretation of policies and procedures that will affect the operations of the units •Must have the flexibility to handle multiple projects/problems simultaneously
•Must have the computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office, Internet/Intranet and other electronic mail systems
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORTS Physical: Physical demand level is light with 10 pounds being demanded occasionally. Intermittent sitting and standing with wide freedom of movement. Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Ability to work nonstandard hours due to unit operating times. Travel by air or vehicle, including overnight stays will be required. Mental: Works with minimal supervision. Exercises independent judgment. Concentrates for long periods of time. Attends to detail. Requires independent action and decision-making. Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality regarding information concerning clients, customers, employees, and other Company business.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS The Menu Systems Dietitian maintains an office at either Valley’s corporate headquarters or within a Health Services unit. The Menu Systems Specialist will perform part of the duties and responsibilities of the position in the food service production and serving settings of applicable units. This position may visit other client locations. Interacts with employees, customers, and clients on a daily basis. Works flexible hours as needed. Spends most of the workday indoors.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: The Menu Systems Dietitian reports directly to the Director of Menu Systems, Seniors and Corrections Services and has no supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Requirements

•Writes and analyzes menus to meet client preferences, contractual requirements, bid specifications, nutritional requirements, cost guidelines and provide back up to other team members for Senior Services and Corrections programs.
•Verify final menus meet bid specifications and nutritional requirements and sign and date menus and/or analysis as required
•Communicate menu cost to Directors of Operations, District Managers and Food Service Directors
•Write menus for Senior and Corrections Services sales proposals based on Request for Proposals and recommendations of the District Manager

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a Nutrition Care Manager / Director, Dining Services to join our Nutrition Team to work in skilled nursing facility in Yazoo City, MS. Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM. The Nutrition Care Manager responsibilities will make up 70% of the position. You will be responsible for the operation and implementation of the Nutrition Care Program based upon established objectives, standards, policies and procedures. This includes knowledge and implementation of local, state, and federal regulations. You will perform a variety of duties including the planning and supervision of resident food assembly and service, scheduling, hiring, coaching and training of resident dining service team members. The Nutrition Care Manager will be responsible for providing clinical nutrition services to residents and ensuring resident satisfaction, proper diet maintenance, quality care, regulatory compliance and good public relations through safe and efficient use of resources. The Director of Dining Services responsibilities will make up 30% of the position. You will be directly responsible for the overall operation of the dining service department. You will operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the Client with the maximum value for dollars spent. The Director is responsible for ensuring the food offered to the residents, guests and employees of the community is of superior quality. You will direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs; while maintaining excellent relationships with residents, guests, Client, as well as other departments within the community. The Director is also responsible for promoting the professional growth and development of their entire team. • B.S. Degree in Dietetics or related field of study – CADE accredited program required
